Seattle - Tacoma International airport, better known as Sea-Tac, is the key air transportation hub for the Northwestern United States. Most domestic airlines fly non-stop to Sea-Tac from their major hubs and several international carriers offer non-stop flights to cities in Europe and Asia. Sea-Tac is Alaska Airlines’ primary base of operations and serves as a vital link between all major cities in the state of Alaska and the rest of the country. Over the last few years Delta emerged as Seattle’s main international airline offering daily non-stop flights to Amsterdam, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Foreign airlines flying into Sea-Tac include ANA, China Airlines, Emirates, EVA, Hainan, Icelandair, Korean and Lufthansa.
Sea-Tac’s passenger terminal has six concourses connected by an underground tram system: concourses A, B, C and D plus the North and South satellites. The South satellite has immigration and customs facilities and handles all international arrivals. Alaska and Horizon are the primary users of concourse B and the North satellite. Delta occupies most of the South satellite plus several gates at the south end of Concourse A. Also using Concourse A and operating as Delta Connection, Compass Airlines offers frequent flights to San Francisco and Los Angeles. Other domestic airlines serving Sea-Tac include American (Concourse D), Frontier (Concourse D), Hawaiian (South satellite), JetBlue (Concourse A), United (Concourse A), SkyWest operating as Delta and United Connection (Concourses A and B) and Southwest (Concourse B).
BluePrint Simulations’ KSEA scenery depicts this important airport as in exists in the spring of 2016 and incorporates all recent changes to the terminal complex and the airfield. It features highly detailed and fully three-dimensional models for all six concourses and the main terminal including its massive parking facility. All 3D models feature high-resolution textures with transparency and refection effects. We paid special attention to the accurate positioning of boarding gates as well as jetways and aircraft parking stands. The scenery also includes the air traffic control tower and the great majority of aircraft maintenance, cargo and general aviation buildings within the field’s boundaries.
Our scenery includes the three parallel runways and accurately laid-out taxiways and ramps with realistic markings and signs. It also features realistic topography within and in the immediate vicinity of the field, accurately portraying Sea-Tac’s characteristic look and feel.
NOTE: BluePrint sceneries are not compatible with FSX or Prepar3D animated service vehicles
FSX and Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 or 10 (All versions) or Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v3 and Windows 7, 8 or 10 (All versions). Due to the complex topography in and around Sea-Tac, FSX and Prepar3D must be set to display the default terrain elevation mesh with 5 meters or better resolution for the scenery to display properly (1 meter resolution is recommended). Setting the terrain elevation mesh at a lower resolution will result in terrain features showing through models designed to smooth and hide abrupt changes in elevation, a critical aspect of the design of our scenery. Our scenery has not been tested with third-party terrain elevation mesh add-ons and the use of the scenery with such add-ons is not recommended.
Note: No significant frame-rate degradation was observed in full-screen mode when using the hardware specified above as “fully tested”.
